Off to see LOTR tonight, can't wait. I wish we could've gone to the midnight show but work needed me here early today. There is just something about going to the first showing of a BIG movie, like LOTR. So much excitement. Everyone anticipating about what their eyes will see.
I remember going to the midnight showing of Matrix 2 and it was packed with hard-core fans. Some dressed up, some were gaming on their laptops....it just makes me smile. That idea that someone can love a film so much, sigh, it's just magic to me.

What a great way to start the week. Got to the office this morning, put the phone on speakerphone, and checked voicemail messages from the weekend.
One urgent message from Saturday morning. Hmmm, odd.
I hit play and I hear music and singing....
Cuz it's witchcraft.......
Someone called my voicemail and left Frank Sinatra's 'Witchcraft' on it. Brilliant!
YAY!
Cuz there's no nicer witch than you.....

'Baby Bush' Born in Baghdad
Thursday, August 28, 2003
BAGHDAD, Iraq — It's a fair bet that one Baghdad baby won't run into anybody else in Iraq with the same name.
An Iraqi couple has named their 6-week-old baby boy George Bush (search) to show their appreciation for U.S. efforts to force Saddam Hussein (search) out of power.
"He saved us from Saddam and that's why we named our son after him," the baby's mother, Nadia Jergis Mohammed, told the Associated Press Television News. "It was George Bush who liberated us; without him it wouldn't have happened."
Baby Bush was born July 11 to Mohammed, 34, and her husband Abdul Kader Faris, 41. His full name is George Bush Abdul Kader Faris Abed El-Hussein.
If the couple had had twin boys, the father wanted to name the other baby Tony Blair (search), because he said both the U.S. and Britain liberated Iraq.
Baby Bush has two older brothers, with the more traditional names Omar and Ali.
The tiny boy's mother told APTN that all Iraqis hated Saddam's regime, and that President Bush freed them from his dictatorship.
"If he hadn't done it the sons of Saddam would have ruled us for years," she said.
As the woman did the interview, little George Bush screamed in his crib.

NEW BRUNSWICK, New Jersey (AP) -- The thought of it may bug some people, but New Jersey's newest game has people spitting crickets.
A few dozen people puckered up for a cricket-spitting contest at Rutgers University last week as part of 56th annual educational clinic of the New Jersey Pest Management Association.
Tom Turpin, an entomology professor from Purdue University in Indiana, says he and his colleagues were looking for additions to their annual "Bug Bowl." A mention of watermelon-seed spitting evolved into a discussion of which bugs would be good for spitting.
Turpin suggested the brown house cricket because it is similar in size to a watermelon pit and holds its shape through freezing and thawing.
"Because it's frozen, it makes it easier," said Heather McNenny of Wildwood-based Paul's Pest Control, who took part in the contest. "They're not all squirmy."
Cricket spitting has helped the Bug Bowl's annual attendance grow to 35,000. Turpin hosts contests across the Midwest and has worked as a consultant to the television show "Fear Factor."
The rules are simple: Competitors stand in a red circle, place thawed crickets inside their mouths and, within 20 seconds, spit them as far as possible without stepping outside the circle.
The official Guinness world record is 30 feet, 1.2 inches. The unofficial record from the Purdue Bug Bowl is 37 feet, 9.75 inches.
The first New Jersey title went to Chris O'Donovan of Cooper Pest Control in Lawrenceville, who spit his cricket 28 feet, 5.75 inches. He won a smiling metal cricket with a clicker hidden beneath.
"This was part of my accomplishment on the field of battle today," O'Donovan said
